How to Register for a Bank Vehicle E-Auction
Registering for a bank vehicle e-auction is usually a simple online process, but the exact steps depend on the auction platform mentioned in the bank’s official notice. Banks may use different authorized platforms.
1. Find the Official Auction Notice
Start with the bank’s official website and find the vehicle auction notice. Check the notice for the authorized e-auction platform, auction date, EMD amount, inspection details and registration requirements.
2. Create a Bidder Account
Go to the auction platform specified in the notice and select Register / New Buyer.
For platforms such as MSTC, registration starts with your email address and mobile number, followed by OTP verification.
3. Fill in Your Details
You may need to provide details such as:
- Name
- Address
- Mobile number
- Email ID
- PAN
- Bank account details
- GST details, if applicable
The exact information depends on the platform and auction.
4. Upload KYC Documents
Upload the KYC documents requested by the auction platform or bank. Common requirements can include identity and address proof and PAN.
For SBI auctions, KYC submission is specifically listed as part of the participation process.
5. Pay the EMD
Most bank auctions require an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) before you can participate. The amount and payment method are mentioned in the individual auction notice.
For some MSTC-based auctions, the EMD must be available in the bidder's designated wallet before bidding.
6. Wait for Verification
Complete registration and document verification before the auction deadline. Some auction processes can take multiple working days for verification, so registering at the last minute can create problems.
7. Participate in the Auction
After registration and the required verification/EMD steps are completed, log in to the specified auction platform at the scheduled time and place your bids according to the auction rules.
